The Marble Canyon Petroglyphs Trail is a fairly long route with a sizable amount of elevation fluctuation and is therefore not recommended for beginner hikers or families with children. A beautiful route that takes you through the stunning grandeur of Marble Canyon, the Marble Canyon Petroglyphs Trail is well worth the effort!

Route Description for Marble Canyon Petroglyphs Trail
A large section of the route is along Marble Canyon Road, and so the route can be shortened dramatically by simply driving further, and leaving your vehicle closer to the designated Marble Canyon Trailhead. That being said, keep in mind that the Marble Canyon access road is unpaved, and will therefore require a vehicle capable of making it over uneven dirt terrain.
With your vehicle parked alongside Marble Canyon Road, follow the road southwest all the way to the designated Marble Canyon Trailhead. Having arrived at the trailhead, continue to follow the pathway to the south as it makes its way through an imposing canyon. The walls of the canyon will continue to grow as you make your way south along the trail.
Soon the Marble Canyon Petroglyphs Trail will veer sharply to the northwest, eventually arriving at a wider section of the Canyon. Here, the trail ends, so take the opportunity to rest and enjoy the scenery before backtracking your steps towards the trailhead, and your waiting vehicle on Marble Canyon Road.
