Clara Lake and Marion Lake make for a perfect short hike. The reward payoff in exchange for the relatively little effort required on this hike is high, with two picturesque lakes and lots of fall colors to see. This hike is 4.7 km long, moderately difficult, and tends to receive heavier traffic.

Route Description for Clara Lake and Marion Lake Hike
Clara and Marion Lakes are reached on a moderate trail with lots of great scenery. This hike is suitable for most skill levels and quite rewarding, especially if you go all the way to Marion Lake. It’s an especially great trip in larch season, which is also when you can expect the heaviest traffic.
Beginning from the trailhead, climb consistently through narrow switchbacks near Lake Creek. It’s a steady uphill, but it’s not too steep at any point. The trail levels out just before Clara Lake. Stroll between the two, enjoying the scenery before retracing your steps to the trailhead.
Getting to the Clara Lake and Marion Lake Hike Trailhead
The trailhead for the Clara and Marion Lakes hike is on Mission Ridge Road near the parking lot for the ski resort.
