Founder & CEORichard CampbellFounder & CEO
Richard founded 10Adventures with the goal of making planning and booking adventure travel easier, recognizing that outdoor adventurers needed more effective resources for their trips.
Richard fell in love with the outdoors while hiking all over the world, exploring the Alps, Rockies, Himalayas, Andes, and the Pyrenees. This passion was the seed of his wish: to make it easier for people to experience the most beautiful places on earth.
Prior to 10Adventures, Richard was the Chief Operating Officer of a successful consulting company. During his time there, the company grew from 18 to over 425 staff and was named one of the 50 best places to work in Canada for five straight years. Richard was also part of the team that built and launched one of the UK’s most successful marketplace startups, uSwitch.com. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and London Business School, where he was a Sloan Fellow.
Don’t be surprised if you come across Richard hiking, skiing or cycling in the Rocky Mountains, as he and his wife love to share their passion for the outdoors with their three boys.
Alex is a content writer with the 10Adventures team, using his experience in academics and world travel to research and write hiking route guides.
Upon graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Western Ontario, Alex and his wife decided to backpack their way around New Zealand while living in a campervan. After moving to Toronto to complete a Bachelor of Education, Alex decided to take his studies to The Netherlands, completing a Master of Arts in Classics and Ancient Civilizations at the Universiteit van Amsterdam in 2019.
His favourite travel destinations are anywhere that have a combination of historical sites and outdoor adventure activities, with Switzerland, Italy, and Greece topping the list.
Ally is a content writer and resident of Banff, Alberta. She has been writing for small publications, websites, and blogs for over ten years and loves combining adventure travel with content creation. She is an avid traveller and regular adventurer.
Ally grew up in BC and Ontario and has been exploring the outdoors for as long as she can remember. She spends most of her time in the backcountry trail running, hiking, backpacking, and splitboarding. Ally has spent plenty of time exploring Western Canada, the US, Central and South America, and Japan. In 2019 she hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and now has goals to complete other long-distance trails between working remotely and travelling as much as possible.
Project ManagerGiedre SaveleProject Manager
After earning her bachelor's degree in tourism management and gaining working experience in the industry, Giedre fell in love with hiking and nature while travelling North and South America. She made the move from her home in Lithuania to Canada and merged her love of the outdoors with her experience in travel and tourism at 10Adventures.
As a Project Manager, Giedre manages a team optimizing content for the site, and also handles analytics. When she's not working, you can find her hiking and searching for animals outdoors. She'll never forget the beautiful trails of the Italian Alps and Glacier National Park and dreams of exploring Patagonia and Alaska.
Haolin lives in Burnaby BC, and he works as a UI/UX Designer for 10Adventures. After coming to Canada from China and earning his MDes degree from Emily Carr University, he decided to pursue his career in this beautiful country. Haolin perceives quality design as compelling storytelling—designers are essentially storytellers who synchronize both the teller and the listener's brains. Any emotions we experience or envision can be passed on to other people. He loves diving, surfing and other outdoor activities. He is also a foodie and can't help but indulge in Vancouver's diverse culinary culture. In his spare time, you might find Haolin jogging, paddleboarding, wine tasting, and spending quality time with his poodle, Albert.
Jonathan joined 10Adventures as a Full Stack Developer after graduating at the top of the computer science program (with a minor in mathematics) at the University of Victoria. Prior to working full-time at 10Adventures, Jonathan was a contributor to the site, adding great routes in and around Vancouver Island.
In his free time, Jonathan is an avid ski tourer, mountain biker, trail runner and backpacker. His favourite outdoor adventure was completing Vancouver Island's Shepherds Ridge - Flower Ridge Horseshoe on skis, likely the first party to do so.

Graphic DesignerKate DaroughGraphic Designer
Kate is the acting Graphic Designer for 10Adventures, and holds both a Certificate in Graphic Design from SAIT and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing with a Minor in International Business from Mount Royal University in Calgary. Having been raised in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, she loves to explore the great outdoors. From being an avid downhill skier and enjoying kayaking, hiking, and mountain biking in her free time, to volunteering as VP Marketing for her University's Ski Club and working as Events Coordinator for an Alberta ski resort, Kate is passionate about fusing her personal love for outdoor recreation and travel with her professional career.
When she is not exploring her own backyard or ripping up a ski resort at home in BC and Alberta, she loves travelling abroad, experiencing new cultures, documenting her explorations through photography, and gaining international inspiration for her next design project. Her most memorable trip so far has been a transformative backpacking tour through Northern India and Sri Lanka where Kate had the privilege of residing in an ashram, receiving the blessing of a Buddhist Monk, meditating in the Monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama, and camping under the stars of a remote beach near the Yala National Park and wildlife reserve.
Kelsey is a Content Writer at 10Adventures, enjoying frequent globetrotting and adventuring. After graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, she began working as a writer in 2017 and fell in love with the lifestyle that travelling and working online provided her.
Whenever she’s not writing (or watching hockey), you can find Kelsey creating a makeshift path along bubbling streams, dreaming about her next travel destination, eating cheese, and hiking to extraordinary places. She loves exploring villages, seascapes, and mountainous peaks.
Kristin contributes to 10Adventures as a Content Writer. Kristin has been editing professionally since 2015 and writing for as long as she can remember. She has a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic studies from the University of Victoria and earned SFU's editing certificate. Having travelled to 42 countries so far, she's created a life rich with experiences and thrives on pushing the limits of her comfort zone.
Her favourite adventure was a 2-night backpacking trip deep into Kananaskis Country, where she camped in a private spot next to an alpine lake. The highlights? Morning lakeside campfire and coffee, exploring terrain without trails, and waking up to a foot of snow at the beginning of September. Mountain weather, right?
Kristin tends to move around a lot, settling in small towns close to adventure. Outside of her day job, you'll find her hiking and backpacking in the Rockies, experimenting (and dancing) in the kitchen, socializing with a craft beer in hand, and travelling to sunny places whenever she can.
