Route Description for Skywalker Trail
The Skywalker Trail is a beautiful hike with great Red Rock Country views. It’s a convenient trail if you’re staying in the hotel near the trailhead, but it’s worth the drive for others in Sedona, too. This route is fairly relaxed and offers a bit of shade.
Watch for mountain bikes on this trail. Watch your footing as well since some of the trail is quite rocky.
From the trailhead, take Skywalker Trail on your left (there is another route that leaves from the same trailhead, so check the signage). You’ll hike towards the hotel and then turn east. Admire the red rocks that stretch as far as you can see and the unique desert plants, including prickly pears, juniper trees, and agave. The trail ends at the first junction, where you’ll turn around and retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
