What Your Policy Should Cover
Not all travel insurance is created equal. When choosing a provider, please ensure your policy includes:
- Coverage for the specific activities on your tour (e.g., hiking, cycling, trekking).
- Coverage for the region and countries you’ll be visiting.
- Altitude coverage if you’re headed into the mountains. Some policies only cover activities up to 3,000m (10,000 ft), which may not be sufficient for high-altitude treks in places like the Andes or Himalayas.
