Air Path Hike
The Air Path Hike is a fun and relatively easy adventure in Crans Montana that climbs slightly uphill for views of the surrounding alpine terrain. The path can be hiked in either direction, departing from Vermala or from the Cave du Scex. Along the walk you will find 8 educational signposts on the theme of air.

Route Description for Air Path Hike
The Air Path runs alongside the Tsittoret Bisse between Vermala (1600m) and the Cave du Scex (1,880 m), above Aminona. The Air Path is made up of 8 explanatory signs spread over 6.0 km. This pleasant walk in the heart of magnificent Alpine scenery takes around 2 hours and will lead you on a journey to find out more about the atmosphere and its fragile balance through themes such as air and health, global warming and atmospheric pollution.
Getting to the Air Path Hike Trailhead
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 m, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Crans-Montana, follow the signs for Vermala.
