Route Description for Panorama 4000 Hike
Setting out from the trailhead, the Panorama 4000 Hike will first take you up to Cry d'Er, before embarking on a path towards the Cabane des Violettes. The site of the Cabane des Violettes is also a great viewpoint, as it offers views of several 4000m peaks surrounding the Anniviers valley in front of you. There are five of them, and in the background you will be able to spot the summit of the Matterhorn!
Entering into the valley - which is popular in winter with skiers descending from Plaine-Morte - you will cross two grazed mountain pastures before joining the Bisse de Tsittoret, which you will follow to the Ecomuseum and relay station of Colombire. Then, you will return to the station by descending into Aminona, where you can take the bus back to the starting point.
