    The Bisse du Tsittoret Hike will take you from Vermala to the source of the Tièche along one of the most well-trodden walking paths in Crans-Montana. Along the walk, you will be charmed by unique views of the most majestic summits in the Valaisan Alps! The Bisse du Tsittoret Hike is a great adventure that provides a nice balance between difficulty and scenic views.

    Route Description for Bisse du Tsittoret Hike

    Setting out from the trailhead, the Bisse du Tsittoret Hike will take you upstream from Vermala to get your muscles working! Enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and make sure to stop at the Colombire hamlet, where you will discover how life was organized in the mayen, a building typical to the Valais region that served as accommodation for shepherds who brought their flocks up to spend summer in the alpine pastures.

    Climbing further uphill, you will discover the Tièche Valley, which offers wonderful views of the surrounding area. From here, you will complete a short loop and make your way back downhill to the starting point of the Bisse du Tsittoret Hike.

    Getting to the Bisse du Tsittoret Hike Trailhead

    To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 m, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". Once you arrive in Crans-Montana, follow the signs for Vermala.
