Enjoy a fusion of countryside scenery and historic buildings on the Golden Ball Extended Loop in the Chilterns! Expect to traverse a combination of street and footpaths as you make your way around the circuit. You may find the 8.0mi distance somewhat daunting, but the mellow elevation gain adds a level of ease to the overall distance.

Route Description for Golden Ball Extended Loop

The Golden Ball Extended Loop traverses streets and footpaths, taking you by historic buildings and through the undulating countryside. From your car, you’ll head back down Church Lane, turning right onto Chinnor Hill. After Chinnor Hill, you’ll veer onto a footpath towards open fields before looping around and heading in the direction of West Wycombe. After West Wycombe, you’ll eventually meet up with Green End Road and Chinnor Road/Hill to go back towards your car.

Getting to the Golden Ball Extended Loop Trailhead

To get to the start of the Golden Ball Extended Loop, head to Bledlow-cum-Saunderton near High Wycombe, and go to Chinnor Road, following it until you reach Church Lane. Turn left here, and your destination will be on your left.
