Route Description for Scotsman Trail
The Scotsman Hike is a wonderful adventure. Presenting countless photo opportunities, this adventure is undeniably scenic. Easy to navigate, manageable, and quick, this trek is the perfect excuse to get the whole family out into the fresh air. Open year-round, you can enjoy this route every season, revealing different perspectives of nature. Note that the terrain is exposed, and in the summer months, the rocky terrain radiates heat, so wear sun protection and bring water!
Embark on your journey along the Scotsman Trail begins from the trailhead off Garden of the Gods Road. From here, the Scotsman Trail tracks south to an intersection. Here, take a sharp left, and the Scotsman Trail will guide you north, along the unique geological feature. Revel in the grandeur of the Scotsman and the other red rock blades that adorn the landscape. When you reach another junction, take a sharp right, now tracking south.
The Scotsman Trail will guide you south, revealing sights of the foothills in the west. Eventually, the route will redirect you north, leading you back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
