    Route Description for Ute Valley Park Loop

    The Ute Valley Park Loop is a revered adventure near Colorado Springs. The diverse terrains that the path travels through warrant a stimulating and exciting adventure. The network of trails caters to adventurers of all sorts, from families to intrepid spirits seeking an exciting bouldering experience. Shared with mountain bikers, it is important to keep an eye out for passers-by, and if you are seeking a quieter experience, then consider heading out at dawn to beat the crowds. Note that the rocky terrain is extremely slick after rainfall, so mind your footing. When hiking in the warmer months, keep an eye and ear out for rattlesnakes. Lastly, several route options are not well signposted, so consider using the trail GPS to easily navigate the terrain.

    A notable backdrop on the western side of Colorado Springs, the Ute Valley Park Loop, which travels along the Hogback reveals epic scenery and even cooler geographical formations. Hike through the sparsely lined path of mixed pines and over the white-coloured hogback.     Begin your marvelous hike along the Ute Valley Park Loop from the Vindicator Trailhead. From here, keep right and track the Ute Valley Park Trail. Hike this path south before heading southeast along Rattlesnake Ridge. Mixed pines will lightly shade this section of the journey—enjoy the sun breaks when you can! Here you will also be granted views of the Front Range peaks lining the horizon. Take the time to revel in the sights and continue along the trail. Now hiking east, you will eventually reach the park's eastern boundary.

    Here, the path will divert you west which marks the last leg of your circuit hike. As you travel, you will be granted vistas of the city and interesting bristlecone pines. Mind your footing on the rocky terrain, and soon you will reach the famous Natural Arch. Take photos beneath the white-hued sculpture that bridges over the terrain before continuing your trek. This section of the path will guide you through exposed terrain, past a sports field, and back to the trailhead, which marks the end of your adventure.
