Route Description for Rilla Mill Walk
Featuring the winding banks of the River Lynher, the charming village of Rilla Mill, and the picturesque farmland of the Cornish countryside, the Rilla Mill Walk is an excellent option for getting outside to enjoy nature. There is a small amount of elevation gain spread throughout the walk, so be sure to wear proper walking footwear.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way north to leave the village of Rilla Mill behind, traversing the serene stretches of woodland terrain and open fields, before meeting up with the banks of the River Lynher.
Following the river south, you will eventually cross over the water and meet up with a road, following it further south to pick up another footpath. Here, you will make your way uphill to the southwest, traversing the picturesque Cornish farmland to pass through the hamlet of Sutton. After this, the trail will turn to the east, heading back downhill in order to cross over the river once again. At this point, you will follow the water’s edge to the north, eventually making your way back into the village of Rilla Mill where you began.
