Embark on your adventure up to the cabin from the trailhead off Highway 40. Track west on the First Creek Cabin Trail. This path will guide you along the curves of First Creek and under dense forest shade. Trek the woodland path and it will eventually divert you away from the babbling creek as you near the cabin. Enjoy the towering spruce trees as you hike. Travel up the path and it will guide you to the cabin.
Explore the historic ski cabin and notice the Front Range vistas peeking through the trees. When you are ready, retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
