Moments in Time Trail

Moments in Time Trail is a very easy, very quick interpretive loop trail on the shore of Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park. This trail teaches you about the lake’s natural and cultural history and provides the chance to enjoy the scenery and stretch your legs. At only 1.1 km long with next to no elevation gain, adventurers of all ages and levels can walk this trail.

Route Description for Moments in Time Trail
Moments in Time Trail is about as simple and easy as it gets, and you’ll love reading the interpretive signs to learn about the history and ecosystem of Lake Crescent. Pretty much anyone can take this very simple walk by the lakeshore and it’s a natural addition to a stay at the lodge.
The trail begins from the Lake Crescent Lodge. You’ll walk on Barnes Point Trail. It doesn’t matter which way you go. Either way, you’ll loop to Barnes Point and then down closer to the river. Just avoid taking any of the intersecting paths to stay on the loop unless you want to extend your walk.
