The Jordan River Parkway Trail: Murray Section is a beautiful, family-friendly hike in Salt Lake City, Utah. This trail is well maintained and paved the whole way. If you use a wheelchair or are looking for a stroller-friendly path, this is a great route for you. The Jordan River Parkway is a multi-use trail popular with cyclists; when hiking be sure to keep your eyes and ears open and allow bikes to pass you by. No matter your age or your hiking abilities, this trail is a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon among Utah flora and fauna not far from home.
From the trailhead, follow the Jordan River Parkway Trail as it winds north along the east bank of the Jordan River before crossing over to the west bank just past Little Cottonwood Creek.
When you reach the Meadowbrook Expressway, it is time to turn around and follow the path back to the trailhead where you began.
