Route Description for Lookout Mountain Trail
Although there are a few short-lived steep sections along this hike, the Lookout Mountain trail is the perfect route if you are in the Del Norte area and want to enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado with the entire family.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way initially to the southwest, before turning to the north to traverse the slopes of Lookout Mountain. Here, you will climb through a few steep parts of the trail while enjoying some nice views across the town of Del Norte.
After reaching the northernmost part of the route, you will loop around the northern edge of the mountain and turn back to the southwest across a fairly flat stretch of terrain. Heading east, you will once again make your way across the slope of the mountain, before returning to the trailhead where you began.

The trailhead for the Lookout Mountain Trail can be found at the southern end of Spruce Street in Del Norte.Route Information
