Spanaway Lake Trail is a 1.5mi route that runs between the Lake Spanaway Golf Course and Spanaway Lake in, you guessed it, Spanaway. This trail is well-maintained and offers great views for relatively little effort. Use it for a walk with the family (stroller-friendly), a bike, or a jog. Grill at the parks’ barbecues or take the kids to the play area. There are modest access fees during the summer.

Route Description for Spanaway Lake Trail

Spanaway Lake is a wonderful spot to set up for the afternoon, with BBQs, play areas, a golf course, a lake, and the Spanaway Lake Trail. Enjoy pretty trees and lake views as you take this short, simple paved walk alongside the shoreline.

Begin from the parking area, heading towards the lake on the obvious path. You won’t need to worry about losing your way thanks to the very straightforward route. Rest at the benches on the way or stop at the beach near the trail’s end to dip your feet. The route terminates soon after the beach, where you’ll turn around and retrace your steps.
