Route Description for Mount Work from Ross Durrance Road
The route up Mount Work begins from Ross Durrance Road. The trail is clear and winds along a forested, well-marked path to Mount Work, going through Mt Work Regional Park. The trail is a great workout, with a steady ascent up the flanks of Mount Work. Once at the top, don’t stop though! It’s important to note that you won’t encounter the best view from Mount Work’s actual peak. Once you see the marking declaring that you’ve reached the summit, continuing walking. The trail descends and takes you to the best vista of Saanich. It’s beautiful to look out on the rolling, forested hills, especially on a sunny day. After a nice break, return the way you came. Once back at your car, it makes a lot of sense to hike down to McKenzie Bight, a beautiful little seaside inlet.Insider Hints for Mount Work from Ross Durrance Road
