Route Description for Bean Creek Basin Trail
Bean Creek Basin Trail is a delightful moderate trip for the backpacker or day hiker. With waterfalls, fall colors, mountains, and streams to see, it’s a varied trail with lots of shade for hot days. It requires a good bit of uphill climbing, so we don’t recommend it for young children.
Beginning from the trailhead, head north on Beverly Turnpike Trail #1391. Where Bean Creek branches off to the right, turn to follow it. Where the creek splits, keep left to follow the same arm. A few switchbacks take you up to the backcountry camping site in the basin, which is where your route ends. Head back the same way you came up.
