Route Description for Cascade Creek Trail to Terraced Falls
Cascade Creek to Terrace Falls is a great outing along the southern edge of Yellowstone National Park. This trail can get buggy, especially in the early summer, so bring some bug spray or wear long layers to combat the mosquitoes. With cascading waterfalls and plenty of places to cool your feet in the rushing water, this trail is the perfect place to spend a summer day surrounded by the beauty of the Wyoming wilderness.
Beginning at the Cascade Creek Trailhead, follow the path north along Cascade Creek, then stay left to follow the south shore of the Fall River to Terraced Falls.
The path down to the riverbank at Terraced Falls is steep and loose, so watch your footing if you are heading down there to get a closer look at the Falls. Enjoy your time exploring around Terraced Falls, and be sure to snap a few photos before returning to the trailhead the way you came.
