While out on the trail, you will climb gently uphill to reach Bear Flats for some scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Route Description for Bear Flats via Bear Canyon Trail
This hike is perfect for those times when you really don’t want to over-exert yourself, but still want to get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. Strap on your hiking boots and grab the entire family for this fun excursion near Mount Baldy!
Setting out from the Mount Baldy Visitor Center, you will follow along Bear Canyon Drive to the northwest, before picking up the Bear Canyon Trail. Here, you will follow the path as it turns to the northeast and gains some elevation up to Bear Flats, where you will enjoy some nice views of the surrounding landscape. Simply head back along the same route once you have had enough of the amazing scenery!
