Route Description for Fall Creek Trail

Whether you enjoy scenic waterfall hikes or are simply after a moderate-length adventure that the family will enjoy, the Fall Creek Trail is a great option to check out in Southern California.

Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the northeast along a winding forest service road that runs roughly parallel to the banks of the Big Tujunga River. Eventually, you will turn left along the trail and follow it west to arrive at the site of Josephine Falls. Hikers should take note that the surge of the falls will be much more impressive earlier on during the hiking season.

After taking in the views of the cascade, backtrack along the trail and cross over the river to explore the area a bit more, before crossing back over to retrace your steps on the return leg of the hike.
