Hiking to Inspiration Point via Mount Lowe Trail is a wonderfully scenic adventure in the Angeles National Forest of Southern California. Route Description for Inspiration Point via Mount Lowe Trail
For those who want to explore a hiking route near Los Angeles with a great balance of scenery, difficulty, and a moderate length, the Inspiration Point via Mount Lowe Trail is a fantastic option to check out.
Setting out from the trailhead at Eaton Saddle, you will follow along the Mount Lowe Motorway as it leads to the southwest. Here, you will enjoy views that look up at the summits of San Gabriel Peak, Mount Markham, and Mount Lowe.
Eventually, the route will turn more directly to the south towards Inspiration Point, where you will be able to gaze out across the Southern California landscape from a beautiful vista. After taking in the views, simply retrace your steps along the trail to return to your vehicle.

The starting point for this adventure can be found at Eaton Saddle along Mount Wilson Red Box Road.
