Little Jimmy Campground Hike

The Little Jimmy Campground Hike is a fun little trail in Angeles National Forest that will take you up to a campsite. While out on the trail, you will gain a small amount of elevation and enjoy some scenic views as you hike through the forest to reach the Little Jimmy Campground. If you are planning on camping in the area, make sure to practice proper outdoor etiquette and to pack out any trash/waste.

Route Description for Little Jimmy Campground Hike
Whether you are only after a short day hike or plan on spending a few days in the great outdoors, the Little Jimmy Campground Hike is a decent route to explore the beautiful landscape of the Angeles National Forest.
This trail will take you from the edge of CA-2 along a quiet stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail that passes through some woodland terrain. After crossing over Little Jimmy Road, the trail will run parallel to it in a southeastern direction to eventually arrive at the Little Jimmy Campground.
From here, it is a straightforward return along the same trail, or you can spend some time exploring the area further by heading up nearby Mount Islip. Those adventurers who plan on summiting Mount Islip can do so along the Mount Islip via Little Jimmy Campground Hike.
Getting to the Little Jimmy Campground Hike Trailhead
The starting point for the Little Jimmy Campground Hike is located at the Islip Saddle Day Use Area on CA-2.
