Route Description for Mount Wilson Observatory Walking Trail
If you are already planning on visiting the historic Mount Wilson Observatory, then you should definitely take some time to explore the Mount Wilson Observatory Walking Trail. This fun route features an easy to navigate path and beautiful views, making it an ideal option for the whole family.
Setting out from the trailhead at the Wilson Lookout, you will make your way west along the Sturtevant Trail towards the observatory. Here, you can take some time to explore the museum and various telescopes, before continuing along the trail.
Keeping on to the west, you will complete a short loop around the summit of Mount Wilson and enjoy views out to Mount Harvard to the south, before heading back to the trailhead to wrap up your adventure.
