Route Description for Bluebell, Woods Quarry, and Enchanted Mesa Loop
The Bluebell, Woods Quarry and Enchanted Mesa Loop presents a great excuse to get out into nature. Adventure through luxuriant meadows often dotted with deer, through towering evergreens and along the base of the foothills. Perfect for beginners and families, we can guarantee this trek will even satisfy the most experienced hikers. Appreciate the beauty and diversity of the topographies and make sure to pack your camera—the picturesque scenery warrants many photos. If you are seeking a walk in solitude, make sure to head out in the early morning to beat the crowds.
Embark on your adventure along the Bluebell, Woods Quarry and Enchanted Mesa Loop from the Bluebell Hiking Trailhead. From here, head south along the path, which will eventually guide you to an intersection. Here, veer left, and you will be diverted onto the Mesa Trail. Follow the Mesa Trail over a small stream then up to a junction with the Woods Quarry Trail. Follow the Woods Quarry Trail through the woodlands by way of rocky terrain. Eventually, the path will deliver you back to the intersection with the Mesa Trail. Keep left, then at the next fork in the road, take a right onto the Enchanted Mesa Trail.
Follow the Enchanted Mesa Trail through the woodlands then out into the meadowlands before the trail’s end. Here, track northwest through the Chautauqua Park to Clematis Drive. Once you meet the road, head west and the route will guide you back to the trailhead, marking the end of your hike.
