    The Brecon Beacons Circular from Cwm Gwdi is a rough and rugged adventure in Brecon Beacons National Park that will take you across the central beacons. While out walking the trail, you will work your way through the mountains to traverse the summits of Cribyn, Corn Du, and the highest peak in South Wales, Pen-y-Fan. This is a challenging walking route that should only be undertaken by those with the proper levels of physical fitness.

    Route Description for Brecon Beacons Circular from Cwm Gwdi

    If you are after an unforgettable adventure in Brecon Beacons National Park that will take you across the central beacons for some unbelievable views over Wales, then the Brecon Beacons Circular from Cwm Gwdi is the right trail for you.

    Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the southeast through a stretch of light woodland terrain, skirting around the base of the mountains in order to climb uphill through a valley to reach the summit of Cribyn. Here, you will enjoy some spectacular views overlooking the Welsh landscape, before continuing along the trail to the west for an even steeper climb up to the highest point in South Wales.

    After arriving at the summit of Pen-y-Fan, you will feel as though you are on top of the world, with spectacular views overlooking the surrounding mountains and moors spread throughout the country. From here, you will continue to the west to the summit of Corn Du, before following the trail down the mountainside in a northwestern direction. After passing by the waters of Llyn Cwm Llwch, you will continue on to the north to descend through the valley, eventually meeting up with a road that will lead you back to the car park where you began.
