    Directions to Trailhead

    The Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point Trail is a fantastic hike in Bryce Canyon National Park. This trail is short and somewhat steep, as it brings hikers up to three incredible viewpoints overlooking the iconic Bryce Canyon Hoodoos. The Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point Trail is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch or capture some incredible photos without going far from the car.

    Route Description for Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point

    The Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point Trail is a beautiful hike for the whole family. This trail does get icy in the winter and is sometimes subject to seasonal closure due to treacherous conditions. Be sure to check the NPS current conditions report before hitting the trails. The Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point Trail may be short, but it is relatively steep the whole way; be sure to wear proper hiking footwear and bring along a water bottle. Overall, this hike is absolutely gorgeous! With incredible views of the hoodoo formations and the Utah landscape, The Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point Trail is a must-do on your visit to Bryce Canyon National Park.

    Starting at the northeast corner of the Inspiration Point Parking lot, follow the trail for about a hundred feet to a divide. Continue a few hundred feet to your left to the Lower Inspiration Point Overlook, before turning around and hiking southeast along the trail to the Middle Inspiration Point Overlook. From the Middle Inspiration Point Overlook, continue south for 0.2 km to a divide, take the path on your left to hike the last few hundred feet to the Upper Overlook.

    Soak in the incredible views from the Upper Inspiration Point Overlook, before turning around and retracing your steps back to the parking lot where you began.

    Getting to the Lower, Mid, and Upper Inspiration Point Trailhead

    From the Bryce Canyon Visitors Center, head south down Bryce Canyon Scenic Drive for 1.7 km before taking a left onto Bryce Point Road. From Bryce Point Road, take your first left onto Inspiration Point Road. Park at the lot at the east end of Inspiration Point Road, the trail begins here.
