Route Description for Great Cookshall Wood Walk
Traverse shaded terrain on the Great Cookshall Wood Walk in the Chilterns! This 9.0 km circular route starts from Bradenham and takes you through a lovely woodland setting that offers shade from the sun, making this an excellent walk for super hot, sunny days. Note that you’ll walk along a blend of footpaths and partially paved paths, and the route can be hard to follow, so it’s a good idea to have your GPS mapped out before going. Heading out from the car park, you’ll see a footpath immediately to your left. Meander through open fields before forest views take over! You’ll walk through Park Wood, Bradenham Wood, Beamangreen Wood, ending with Great Cookshall Wood, eventually circling back to your car. Keep an eye out for the pond in Park Wood near the beginning of your adventure.
