Route Description for Great Wood of Hambleden Walk
Spend time exploring lovely beech woods on the Great Wood of Hambleden Walk in the Chilterns! While most families will enjoy this walk, younger children may have a tough time with the 5.8mi distance. From your car, walk by the post office and towards the trees! When you reach the woods, go right to start your loop. Eventually, the woods will open up to fields before taking you back into the Great Wood. When you reach the part of the loop where you began, take the same road back to your car as this is a lollipop route. Be sure to stop at the pub for refreshments if you parked there!Getting to the Great Wood of Hambleden Walk Trailhead
To get to the start of the Great Wood of Hambleden Walk, head to Hambleden and park at the Stag and Huntsman pub, but be sure to stop for a pint or refreshments before or after your walk, as you don’t want walkers to take spots from customers.Route Information
