The Henley Hill, Great Wood and River Thames Circular is a fantastic walking trail that immerses you in the Chilterns, unveiling rolling countryside views while taking you through scenic woodland. Spend some time walking along the riverside as well! It’s hard not to feel at ease when you’re taking on this 10.3mi loop!

Route Description for Henley Hills Great Wood and River Thames Circular

The Henley Hills, Great Wood and River Thames Circular may be a 10.3mi loop, but the reel of views will keep you well entertained. There are some hills, but most of the walk is relatively flat, making this a fun one for families with kids who can handle a longer loop. Setting out from the parking lot, head to the Cafe Le Raj and then go right towards Singers Park, crossing White Hill. Spend some time walking along the River Thames and revelling in the charming scenery. Continue to follow the river towards Mill End and Great Wood, where the path takes you into hushed woodland. Continue circling to go through Fawley and back to Henley-on-Thames, where your car awaits.

To get to the start of the Henley Hills, Great Wood and River Thames Circular from Henley-on-Thames, head to the Henley-on-Thames train station and park your car across the street at the Station Car Park. There are public toilets here as well!
