Route Description for Hertfordshire Way and Ashridge Forest Circular Walk
The Hertfordshire Way and Ashridge Forest Circular Walk takes you through the ever-so scenic Chilterns, where wooded areas and countryside views await. This route can get muddy during wetter seasons, so aim to do this in the summer when you can bask in the surrounding beauty. After you park, you’ll have to cross the B4506, making it essential to take extra care to check for cars!
From the parking lot, walk for around 1,200 m before branching right to continue around the loop. You will eventually meet up with the same path you started on. Follow this path back to your car, crossing the B4506 en route.

To get to the start of the Hertfordshire Way and Ashridge Forest Circular Walk from Berkhamsted, head to B4506 and drive this road for 5.5 km before turning left to head towards the Ashridge NT Car Park.
