Route Description for Blodgett Peak Loop
Explore the beautiful scenery that Colorado has to offer on the Blodgett Loop. This stunning trail reveals awe-inspiring sights of the Front Range foothills and the plains while traveling among diverse flora and fauna. Appreciate the grandeur and marvel in the wonder of the wilderness. Note this path is not well marked, so we suggest using the trail GPS to navigate the terrain more easily. If you choose to venture this hike in the winter months, consider a pair of microspikes or snowshoes!
Embark on your adventure along the Blodgett Peak Loop from the North Blodgett Trailhead. From here, head left along St. Francis Drive/North Blodgett Loop. Hike this path up the winding route lined with towering pine trees. There will be several intersecting paths, simply ignore these and travel along this path until the road’s end. From here, you can venture left, along a more primitive route to a more expansive overlook.
Retrace your steps back to the intersection from the lookout over the cityscape and plains. Here, keep left, hiking through a forested gulch along the North Blodgett Loop Trail. This route will deliver you back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
