Route Description for Lerryn Wood Circular Walk
If you enjoy taking laidback walks along the river, then you will be sure to enjoy the Lerryn Wood Circular Walk, as it will take you along the banks of both the River Lerryn and the River Fowey. Along the trail you will also find some historic ruins, which only adds to the fun you will have while out on this walk!
Setting out from the trailhead in the village of Lerryn, you will make your way southwest to enter into the cover of the forest, passing by the remnants of Tivoli Park, which was an abandoned leisure park from the early 20th Century. From here, you will follow along the banks of the River Lerryn on your right until you arrive at its confluence with the larger River Fowey.
Heading to the south along the banks of the River Fowey, you will enjoy some scenic views across the water, before turning inland towards the east. Here, you will traverse some open fields on the way to meeting up with a road, turning left to follow it north and back into the village of Lerryn where you started.
