Route Description for The Grandstand via Racetrack Trail
As The Grandstand via Racetrack Trail is not along a designated Death Valley National Park pathway, care should be taken when attempting. We recommend bringing some sort of mapping tool to help aid you in your navigation. Likewise, as The Grandstand via Racetrack Trail is within the desert environment of Death Valley National Park, it is important you prepare yourself for the conditions by drinking lots of water and wearing sunscreen.
With your vehicle parked along Racetrack Valley Road, make your way east towards the Grandstand rock formation in the foreground. After a few hundred feet of walking, you will arrive at the Grandstand, so take some time and explore this incredibly unique formation. If you are interested, you can walk further out onto the flats, past the Grandstand to explore. Whatever you choose to do, when you are ready, simply backtrack your steps towards Racetrack Valley Road, and your waiting vehicle.
