Route Description for Killerton Park Walk
If you enjoy visiting historic country houses and exploring their extravagant estate grounds, then the Killerton Park Walk is a great option if you find yourself in Devon. Setting out from the car park, you will make your way around the 18th Century Killerton House and pick up the trail leading north that will take you on a loop through a beautifully atmospheric forest near the banks of the River Culm. After traversing the hilly terrain, the trail will bend to the southwest to traverse some open fields before turning to the east to once again pass by the country house on the return to the starting point of the walk.
Getting to the Killerton Park Walk Trailhead
To reach the trailhead for the Killerton Park Walk from Silverton, drive east on Park Road for 1.0 km and continue straight onto The Old Stables, following it for 3.1 km. Make a right here and follow the road for 137 m, turning right to enter the car park.
