    The South Milton Sands to Hope Cove Coastal Walk is a fantastic route that will expose you to some of the best scenery along the South Devon coastline. While out walking the trail, you will enjoy some amazing views overlooking the beach at South Milton Sands, as you climb uphill along the cliffside to reach the scenic destination of Hope Cove that overlooks the sea. There is only a small amount of uphill walking along this route, making it a great option for walkers of varying skill levels.

    Route Description for South Milton Sands to Hope Cove Coastal Walk

    The South Milton Sands to Hope Cove Coastal Walk is a popular trail along the South Devon coast for a wide variety of walking enthusiasts, as it offers some truly stunning views overlooking the water and doesn’t feature much in the way of challenging terrain. Setting out from the car park, you will walk along the beach for a short stretch before climbing gently uphill to the south. Skirting along the edge of Hope Cove, you will enjoy some beautifully scenic seaside views from atop the rugged coastal cliffs. After taking in the views, simply retrace your steps along the trial and spend the afternoon at the South Milton Sands beach.

    Getting to the South Milton Sands to Hope Cove Coastal Walk Trailhead

    To reach the trailhead for the South Milton Sands to Hope Cove Coastal Walk from South Milton, drive southeast toward Sutton for 0.2 km and continue straight onto Backshay Park for another 54 m. Turn right here and follow the road for 2.7 km to reach the car park.
