Route Description for Griffith Spring Trail
Griffith Spring Trail is a lovely short hike north of Kachina Village that provides pretty creekside views and a relaxed, calm atmosphere. This hike is quick enough to do as a warm-up or cooldown, or you can just enjoy it as a fast moment in nature. It’s a good beginner hike, or a nice pick for families with small children.
From the trailhead, take Griffith Spring Trail to where the trail splits. Our route goes counterclockwise, so you’ll keep right, hike to the creek bed, and then follow the creek bed north. Pass the Griffiths Tank and then follow the trail as it completes its northbound loop and turns south, leading you back to the trailhead.
Should you want a bit of extra distance on your adventure, you can cross the creek near the tank and hike south along the creek bed and back on a nice stretch of trail.
