Route Description for Little America Loop
The Little America Loop is a short, easy trail in Flagstaff that starts from the Little America Hotel. This makes it a popular choice for hotel guests, especially if they want to get used to the elevation on an easy trail or get some steps in after traveling. It doesn’t offer the same sweeping views as other trails in Flagstaff, but you can enjoy the forest, wildflowers, and potentially elk or deer as you hike. This route doesn’t get very busy, either.
If you’re staying in the hotel you can start right from the backside of the main building. If not, you can go between buildings 3 and 4 to find the trailhead.
From the trailhead, take Little America Trail. Stay left at the first fork and then go straight through the next one. The further you get into the forest, the less road noise you’ll have. At the next junction, go straight, then straight again once you hit the fork. At the next fork, go left to retrace your steps to the trailhead.
