Lace up those hiking boots and grab your microspikes, because we are adventuring up the Pettingell Peak via Herman Gulch Trail. Though this hike is challenging, it is extremely exciting and rewarding. Hike through the forested gulch up to Herman Lake before beginning your technical ascent to the summit of Pettingell Peak. Trust us, there will not be a dull moment on this trip, and that’s the way we like it. Ensure to pack plenty of water or a water filter to stay hydrated along this escapade. Enjoy the tree coverage and easy terrain while you can. Eventually, you will graduate the timberline, from here, hike through the alpine tundra to Herman Lake.
