Keep an eye out for vehicle traffic when traveling along the road and be sure to never block the roadway. In addition, the June Lake Loop Trail also possesses a fair amount of elevation incline in relation to its length, and so it is likely not appropriate for young children.

Having made it to the trailhead, follow June Lake Loop Trail as it heads east. Almost immediately the path veers south, and begins to steadily incline in elevation. Continuing south, the route will arrive at a switchback before once again heading south along the adjacent hillside. The incline will soon begin to taper off as you reach a plateau, where you will arrive at a junction within the trail.

At the junction, make your way north towards the June Mountain Ski Area. Having arrived at the ski area, follow Canyon Trail as it makes its way north, declining in elevation as it goes. Just past the sharp turn on Canyon Trail, head north off of the road and onto the trail adjacent to Water Line Road. Once on the trail, simply follow it back to the trailhead, and your waiting vehicle.
