Having arrived at the trailhead, follow the pathway as it makes its way first north, and then veers sharply to the south. Continuing on your southern heading, you will pass over a creek as the elevation begins to incline steadily.
The trail will then reach a junction, where you are to continue on along your southern heading, before crossing over a second creek. Having had an opportunity to enjoy the sights, keep heading south until you reach the smaller - but still scenic - Lower Rainbow Falls.
