Route Description for Hall of Horrors Hike
While the rock formations found throughout the Hall of Horrors Hike can be lots of fun to climb and play on, care must be taken. An untimely fall on many of the rocks could easily cause injury, and many places exist where young children could get lost. Please be vigilant.
To start the Hall of Horrors Hike, head to the trailhead adjacent to the parking lot. You can complete this circular route from either direction, but we suggest counterclockwise to minimize trail congestion!
The trail itself is short and well marked. Follow the pathway for the Hall of Horrors Hike as it makes its way around a hill, where you’ll find the rock formations that give the trail its name. Feel free to take your time and explore the many openings and chasms within the rocks. After you’ve had your fun, return to the trail in any direction, and follow it back to the trailhead.
Getting to the Hall of Horrors Hike Trailhead
The trailhead for the Hall of Horrors Hike can be found at the parking lot with the same name. The lot is located off of Park Boulevard, the main road within Joshua Tree National Park.
