    Setting out from the parking lot on Johnson Pass Road, the Little Norway to Lower Echo Lake Hike follows the Echo Lakes Road northwest through mixed pine woodlands interspersed with quaking aspens. As you wander, you will pass several cabins and campsites. Continue hiking along the road, and eventually, the path will open to Lower Echo Lake. Admire the beauty of the alpine lake hemmed by the craggy snow-dusted Sierra Nevada Mountains.

    From here, continue hiking, merging onto the PCT at the road’s end. Follow this route up to the Echo Pass Overlook. Revel in the panoramic views of Echo Lake, Lake Tahoe, and the mountain range. Retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead when you are ready.
