The Betty B Dearing Mountain Trail is a fun hiking route near Los Angeles that will take you between Fryman Canyon Park and Coldwater Canyon Park. While out hiking the trail, you will traverse the undulating landscape to the northwest of L.A. while enjoying the beautifully scenic views of the surrounding terrain. Thanks to the plentiful amount of shade along the trail that offers protection from the sun, this is a great route for exploring with the family.
Route Description for Betty B Dearing Mountain Trail
Lets face it, Southern California can be a bit hot to say the least, so why not plan for an adventure that offers plenty of protection from the sun?! The Betty B Dearing Mountain Trail is a fantastic hiking route in close proximity to Los Angeles that features plenty of shade and beautifully scenic views. Setting out from the trailhead near the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook, you will begin climbing uphill along the winding path before it bends to the northwest. Here, you will traverse the undulating terrain of Fryman Canyon Park and enjoy some beautifully scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Eventually, you will enter Coldwater Canyon Park and arrive at the Joyce Lipkis Garden. After exploring the area, simply head back along the same path to return to the trailhead where you began.Getting to the Betty B Dearing Mountain Trail Trailhead
