Glendale Peak Trail

The Glendale Peak Trail is a wonderful hiking route in Los Angeles that will take you to several scenic viewpoints within Griffith Park. While out on the trail, you will loop around the park and climb up to the top of Glendale Peak, before heading west to the summit of Mount Hollywood. Make sure to arrive early to secure parking, as this is a very popular area with hikers and tourists.

Route Description for Glendale Peak Trail
For those who want to experience some classic Los Angeles Scenery and don’t mind sharing the trail with others, the Glendale Peak Trail is a great option to explore when visiting Griffith park.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will head east along the Riverside Trail, following it uphill to eventually reach the scenic summit of Glendale Peak. After taking in the views, you will turn your direction to the west and traverse the undulating terrain on the way to the summit of Mount Hollywood, where you will enjoy some even more beautiful views overlooking the city. From here, you will begin your descent into the trailhead where you began your adventure.

The trailhead for this hike can be found on Vermont Canyon Road near the Greek Theatre.
