    The Griffith Park Merry Go-Round to Beacon Hill Hike is a quick and fairly easy adventure in Los Angeles that produces big views for little effort. While out hiking the trail, you will steadily gain elevation as you work your way up to the top of Beacon Hill, where you will enjoy sweeping views of the city. Griffith Park is a popular area with both tourists and locals alike, so be sure to arrive early to secure parking.

    Route Description for Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round to Beacon Hill Hike

    Featuring some pleasant views and an easy to navigate trail, the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round to Beacon Hill Hike is a fun little adventure that can be enjoyed by a wide range of skill levels and ages.

    Setting out from the parking lot, you will make your way southwest across Griffith park Drive in order to pick up the Fern Canyon Trail. Here, the trail will continue to the southwest, before bending east to climb up to the summit of Beacon Hill.

    After arriving at the top, take some time to appreciate the beautiful views over L.A. and the surrounding Griffith Park landscape, before turning back along the trail for the return into the parking lot where you started.
