    Hiking to the Hollywood Sign via Canyon Drive is a classic Los Angeles adventure that, as the name implies, will take you up to the iconic Hollywood sign. While out on the trail, you will steadily work your way uphill through the undulating terrain of Griffith Park, enjoying the sweeping views of both the world famous sign and the surrounding landscape, before arriving at the summit of Mount Lee. Make sure to arrive early to secure a parking space, as this is a very popular route with tourists visiting the area.

    Route Description for Hollywood Sign via Canyon Drive

    Whether you are a first time visitor to L.A. or simply want to take in the beautiful views of the city, this trail will be sure to make for a memorable excursion.

    Setting out from the trailhead on Canyon Drive, you will make your way to the northeast to begin climbing gently uphill through the undulating terrain that surrounds the city. Take your time and really soak up the beautiful views, as the trail bends to the west enroute to the summit of Mount Lee.

    Once there, you will have a commanding view across the city as you stand atop the iconic Hollywood sign and pause for a much deserved photo opportunity. When you are all rested up, simply turn back and retrace your steps to the trailhead where you began your adventure.
