Inspiration Loop Trail

The Inspiration Point Loop Trail is a spectacular adventure in Los Angeles that offers scenic views of both the ocean and the city. While out on the trail, you will traverse the undulating terrain of Will Rogers State Historic Park, looping around to several vantage points overlooking the surrounding landscape. While this is a great hiking route for the entire family, you will need to leave your canine companions at home, as dogs are not permitted on the trail.

Route Description for Inspiration Loop Trail
For those who are in the Los Angeles area and want to experience a scenic hiking route through mildly challenging terrain, the Inspiration Point Loop Trail is a great option to explore. Sweeping views that extend across the city and out to the Pacific Ocean await on this great family-friendly excursion.
Setting out from the parking lot, you will make your way north along a service road and past the office for Will Rogers State Historic Park. Here, you will turn right onto the Inspiration Loop Trail and follow it as it initially leads east, before turning back to the north.
Eventually, you will arrive at Inspiration Point, where you can take in the incredible views overlooking the Southern California landscape. Continuing on to the north, you will quickly arrive at the northernmost point of the trail, where you will turn back on the return leg of the hike. Instead of utilizing the same trail for the entire way down to the trailhead, you will turn right onto the Bone Canyon Trail, which eventually turns into Rogers Road and will bring you into the parking area.
