Route Description for Port Hueneme Beach Trail
While it isn’t much of an actual hiking trail, the Port Hueneme Beach Trail is an excellent walking route along the California coast that offers some gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. If you enjoy taking a stroll by the water’s edge and wandering aimlessly in the sand, then this is certainly the route for you.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southeast along the path as it runs parallel to Surfside Drive. Here, you will pass through Port Hueneme Beach Park, before leaving the walkway behind to traverse the sand.
After passing by Ormand Beach and reaching the endpoint of the route, you will turn back for the return leg of the hike. Instead of making your way back through the park, simply continue along the sand and enjoy the oceanside views until you arrive back at the starting point of your walk.
